Reidar fikk sin fantasi oppfylt på Spellemannspris-utdelingen 1987, hvor han møtte og kysset Samantha Fox.
Reidar skulle ut til Mutter'n, men i stedet stod Samantha Fox og nærmest kastet seg over ham da han kom ut fra privaten.
(Samantha og Reidar går ned trappen mot scenen)
Samantha: Listen, listen.. You always kiss my poster on the T.V. So, here, I would like to kiss you in person.
Reidar: No.
Samantha: Oh no? that's nice isn't it?
Reidar: Are you real? It's you?
Samantha: Honestly, feel..
